Welcome to St. John's School

Dear Parents,

St. John’s School has been evolving since its opening in 2001.

Professionalism, team, stability and relationships between staff and students are the reasons for St John’s being so successful.

Affectivity, caring and a closer approach to the children has helped in their adaptation to the school.

We have been able to apply the English National Curriculum mostly to Portuguese Children, some mixed, others from world countries, due to our personalised approach and methods.

Our students acquire several competences once they finish Year 1 at 5 years old. Besides their mother tongue, they learn to speak and write in English, basic notions of maths, ICT, PE, music, drama and swimming.

We believe that cooperation between school and home is essential for your child’s successful education and we try to foster this partnership in as many ways as possible.
